Zagato's new Aston

There's always something special about Aston Martin Zagato's, an exquisite combination of the finest british motoring heritage with pure italian style.

With the final design signed-off and engineering development work progressing apace, Aston Martin revealed the first images of the new V12 Zagato scheduled for production later this year.

Every Aston Martin is a unique combination of advanced materials, technology and time-honored craftsmanship, the V12 Zagato take this philosophy  to a level previously seen in the company's exquisite One-77 super car. Production of the V12 Zagato will be strictly limited to no more than 150 cars.

Seven bridge of weir hides in semi-anline finish are used to trim the V12 Zagato's interior. Hand-stritched quilting of a unique design created a flowing pattern that evokes a dynamic sense of movement across seats and headlining.

The V12 Zagato concept was unveiled in may 2011. Introduced as a modern interpretation of the famous Aston Martin and Zagato collaboration in the 50th anniversary of the iconic DB4GT Zagato.

At its world premiere, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato concept won the Concorso d'Eleganza Design Award for concept cars and prototypes at villa d'Este on the shores of lake Como, Italy.

In 2011 two V12 Zagato concept cars covered over 3,700 miles in the 64th annual Nuerburgring 24hr race, competing on the legendary Norsdschleife saw the car tested on a track which best simulates the extremities of public roads.

Clothed in lightweight hand-formed aluminium and carbon-fibre body pales, the level of craftsmanship involved in the construction of the V12 Zagato represents the extreme application of Aston Martin's know-how, materials and heritage.
