Ferrari Tribute to 1000 Miglia

Ferrari tributes the most beautiful race in the world the legendary Mille Miglia, 140 Ferraris, will drive the 1,400-kilometre Tribute.
Today Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo gave a cordial salute the participating cars, at the second stage of the Ferrari Tribute to Mille Miglia ended in the Italian capital.

Italia Independent "partecipa" alla Mille Miglia

Italia Independent, marchio di creatività e stile, partecipa assieme a John Elkann e Lavinia Borromeo allo storico percorso di lunga distanza Mille Miglia a bordo della Berlinetta Fiat 8 V del 1954. I-I in occasione della corsa più bella del mondo - dove su auto storiche si percorrono mille miglia da Brescia a Roma - ha realizzato due modelli di occhiali e una felpa dedicata a FIAT, riprendendone il logo storico. I-I dedica a John e Lavinia due Unique Edition di occhiali per la traversata della penisola, i modelli prescelti per l’occasione sono lo 090V e lo 092V, bestseller della collezione I-Velvet. Il modello 090V è la reinterpretazione di un’iconica forma dell’occhialeria italiana e lo 092V è scenografico e unico dalla forma a farfalla. Entrambi i modelli hanno il frontale blu scuro con effetto velluto ottenuto grazie al trattamento UV LUX©, di cui Italia Independent detiene l’utilizzo del brevetto in esclusiva e che rende appunto la superficie soffice e morbida al tatto come se fosse rivestita di velluto. Le aste invece sono perlate e all’interno è riportato il logo Mille Miglia e il nome del partecipante. La felpa dallo stile vintage che I-I dedica a Fiat, è un tributo a Sir Ernest Eldridge che nella prima metà degli anni venti, a bordo della FIAT Mefistofele, batté numerosi record di velocità inaugurando una nuova era nel mondo delle corse. Il lettering dell’attuale logo FIAT riprende gli stilemi dei vincenti anni 20’. Italia Independent si conferma marchio Made in Italy e che vuole celebrare l’Italia in tutte le sue forme..buon viaggio!!

In 1952, Sir Stirling Moss started the Mille Miglia in a prototype disc-braked C-type, and later that same year recorded the first ever competitive win for a disc-braked car at Reims in a C-type XKC 005.
