Adrian van Hooydonk, a visionary gentleman

He adores motorbikes, the last one he bought was a Husqvarna Cross 400, like the one Steve McQueen rode bare-chested and on which the actor featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated in August 1971. However, Adrian van Hooydonk doesn't seem the type to ride bare-chested; he'll probably rather wear his usual white shirt, which clothes a physique as streamlined as the lines he draws ever since he started designing. Dutch by birth and a citizen of the world, since 2009 Van Hooydonk has been director of design of the BMW group which includes the Mini and Rolls-Royce and, on two wheels, BMW Motorrad and Husqvarna.

Gran Coupe

BMW Introduces the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, a new 4-door, 4+1 seat addition to the 6 Series line that successfully combines the stunning proportions, design and driving dynamics of the 6 Series Coupe with interior room and amenities for up to five passengers. Harmonious proportions, precise lines and sleekly contoured surfaces give the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe the unique ability to satisfy the driver who wants a luxurious and sporty coupe yet needs a car capable of carrying four adults in comfort and luxury. The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe will be offered as three distinct models in the USA. The TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder powered 2013 BMW 640i Gran Coupe is the initial model and arrives early this summer. Later in the summer, the TwinPower Turbo V-8 powered 2013 BMW 650i Gran Coupe and the all-wheel drive 2013 BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe will join the range.

Cars and Fashion.

A current automotive trend this year, are the versions in collaboration with prestigious Fashion Houses, the dance started early this year with the BMW 5 GT Trussardi and the Fiat 500 by Gucci followed by the more recent Maserati GranCabrio(GranTurismo Convertible in USA) Fendi and Fiat 500c by Gucci.
For Trussardi which celebrates it's centenary and Gucci which celebrates it's 90 years and inaugurated recently it's museum in Florence, it's not the first time they combine their name to a car model, the older may remember the Cadillac Seville Gucci, present in museo Gucci, and the Lancia Beta HPE Trussardi from the late 70s and middle 80s.
