Luzzago Classic Car auction tomorrow a rare Fiat 2800 ministeriale, a car commissioned to Fiat by dictator Benito Mussolini, to rival the Mercedes Benz 770K.
Just 620 chassis were built between 1938 and 1944.One third was used as "CMC" for the italian armed forces. Five had an open top body, designed for parades.
The wheelbase of 3200mm give great space for the passengers, and it's grille is inspired by american models of the late 30s.
Build in 1943, it's one of three existing open top Fiat 2800.
There are pictures of this car in Archivio Storico Fiat with president Einaudi, pope Montini and president Saragat.
